Edwardian-Inspired Cotton Blouse with Back Buttons & Dramatic Puff Sleeves

Lovely sleeves with nice detailing near the cuffs. The buttons run down the back, and it hasn't made this any difficult to get on and off.Sizing is correct, but because it's more of a 'puffy' design it may look a little large so you can size down. I'm a UK size 10-12 and the small fit well, with enough room to move around, while not looking baggy. The length is just right, hitting just below the hips so it sits well whether tucked in or left out. It's lightweight, but has a good thickness to it, and is suitable for spring or summer.I love that it's not see-through despite being white.Washes well at 40 degrees and doesn't need heavy ironing. Stitching is clean, without any loose threads.Overall, a beautiful flattering blouse that works well for work or more casual wear. Would happily recommend.

The blouse is a simple item of clothing, but one that is still effective if you get a nice one and this 'Victorian Blouse' is a nice one. It is still a simple white cotton blouse, but what makes it nice and what makes it Victorian? It is the detailing. This includes the obvious collar that is slightly oversized making it nice to wear on its own, or under a top. There are also some buttons that lead from the back of the neck down.The cut itself also stands out. They call this a Peter Pan cut and it does have that blooming panto feel to it. It is oversized in that you can tuck the bottom into your trousers. It is an effective look and make this blouse more than just a simple blouse, but a top you can wear out. The material is white so will show darker clothes underneath, but it is not too thin.
