When I first saw these, I had no idea how I was going to wear them - but I just had to give them a go. I mean, look at them! Aren't they a bit fabulous? The four layers of ruffles are just gorgeous - proper flouncy, with a lovely sense of depth and such a feminine flair. They really do make you feel like you've wandered out of a Jane Austen novel.The beige colour adds to that vintage, old-world charm - it's not too yellow or stark, just soft and muted in the best way. I find the cotton surprisingly soft, and super breathable too, which is ideal for warmer days (or stuffy old houses!). The elasticated waist is gentle and doesn't dig in - major win.They're obviously brilliant for lounging, but I've also tried them under a floaty skirt for a bit of ruffle peeking out, and I reckon they'd be fab in a steampunk look with boots, corsets, or a high-neck blouse. Honestly, for $29.99, they're a bit of a steal - quirky, well-made, and so much fun to wear.
